The 1st Infantry Division Band Concert

On Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 6:00PM, the 1st Infantry Division Band from Fort Riley will be performing a full spectrum of patriotic selections at the historic Brown Grand Opera House following POW Camp Concordia’s Annual Victory Day Celebration.
The 1st Infantry Division Band is the musical ambassador for the United States’ premier fighting force. The Big Red One Band represents the 1st Infantry Division for military ceremonies and the communities that support the American Soldier. Capable of performing a variety of music, the 38-member ensemble frequently entertains audiences with light overtures, marches, show tunes, and big band music of the 40s and 50s. This will be a delightful concert for the entire community.
This concert is free and open to the public. A donation will be collected to support both the Brown Grand and POW Camp Concordia.

Logan Mize is an accomplished country singer/songwriter from Clearwater, Kansas, who has deep musical roots to his family tree. His great uncle was Billy Mize, largely known for crafting and evolving the legendary Bakersfield sound, which included musical pioneers Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. In 2010, several years after moving to Nashville, Logan signed a publishing/record deal with Big Yellow Dog Music. He spent the next seven years playing seemingly every venue in every town across the U.S. and winning over fans every stop along the way.
Mize has over 350 million catalog streams across all platforms. His single, Better Off Gone, is RIAA Certified Gold and has over 100 million streams. He had his Opry debut back in April of 2022 and recently performed back in December 2022. His most recent EP release, Bloodline, is just a taste of the upcoming music Mize has in store for the year.
There will be a bar available – catered by Easy G Sports Grill. Must be 21 or older to purchase alcoholic beverages.

Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts
June 10-14, 2024
It’s BACK! Thanks to the generosity of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts is coming back to the Brown Grand June 10-14! High School Students through Freshmen in College are welcome to participate in Lovewell.
Participants will create their own musical in one-week and perform it in front of a live audience. If you’re interested in music, lights, sound, costumes, writing, dancing, and being onstage this is for you!

Missoula Children’s Theatre is BACK for another fun summer at the Brown Grand Theatre! Children entering first grade through eighth grade are invited to participate in the 2024 production of “Robin Hood.” Up to 60 local children will gather for one-week to memorize this musical adaptation and perform it on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at 3pm at the Brown Grand Theatre.
About the Show: The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters seek the help of the Foresters, manage to waylay the Aristocrats and set out to rescue Maid Marion and Marion’s Maid. Prince John tries to stay calm as his Sheriff, guards and horsemen botch Robin’s arrest thanks to the aromatic Skunks. Wacky humor and an original score add to this fresh new look at a legendary outlaw in a legendary time.
